[From the liner notes] "The slides on this DVD were created by Michael Griffen and Terry Newberg in the early 70s in Bellingham, WA. Michael was a visual artist around that time, so many were demo slides of his artwork that were either under or overexposed. Through burning, staining, and other alchemy, Michael and Terry transformed the slides into new works of art. Probably around a bit of pot, they would show the slides and distort the images further through various glasses and jars.

The slides were always something that would get pulled out when people met Michael-they would surface at some point. Erics first band used them in 1989 as visuals to distract the audience from their lackluster musical abilities. Corey found them in 2001 and tried to no avail to get Michael to do a show with them in their project, Bright Shiny Object(s), which performed to slideshows.

Chaostic Magic was born out of a memorial for Michael. Corey and Eric decided it would be most appropriate to do a live soundtrack to these slides. In addition to the memorial, Chaostic Magic performed to these slides on a few other occasions - including Michaels family memorial in Bellingham. This DVD is a document of the images and musical performance."
