Previously released in 1973 as "The Drifter Rides Again" on Barclay 920 411 and rereleased in 1974 as "Gate`s On The Heat" House Of The Blues Volume 3 on Blue Star 80603.

Note the different bonus tracks with the 2004 Emarcy release.

All songs recorded early 1972 at Michel Magne Studio, Herouville except tracks 1 & 9 in Memphis probably 1973 and track 12 on July 1, 1973 at the Montreux Jazz Festival.

Tracks 6, 11 and 12 are "X-tra" tracks, not on the original LP.
