On October 24, 2003, solar flare activity reached a significant highpoint. Predictions of electrical interference, cell-phone signal disruption, and other anomolies were made. No major widespread effects were felt, but subtle distrubances could be detected. This recording is a 5hr no-input recording, through a Behringer 12-channel mixer (with all input and channel levels maxëd) into a PC sound card, effectively "listening" to the electro-magnetic variations passing through the circuitry. Over the duration of the recording, various "interesting" events take place, blips, clicks, bleeps, tone-variations, etc. In essence, you are listening to the sun... The CDR comes bolted to a square piece of 1/4" plexiglass, along with a clear CD padder to protect the disc.
