A generative music app created for Apple's iOS (iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch). Developed by Brian Eno and Peter Chilvers, 'Trope' is available at iTunes App Store (visit generativemusic.com for details).

The app provides both a "Listen" mode, for passive listening, and a "Create" mode which enables interaction and provides options for compositional input. Several other options are available that affect its generated compositions and overall sound in both "Listen" and "Create" modes.

On February 27, 2016 Peter Chilvers posted the following at his website (peterchilvers.com):

"Trope, my second app with Brian Eno now runs natively on the iPad for the first time, as well as being updated for iOS 8."

Darker in tone, Trope immerses users in endlessly evolving soundscapes created by tracing abstract shapes onto the screen, varying the tone with each movement.
